Is there any update on when we can expect it to be released?
I can't wait! I'm finishing up current campaigns and was looking for something that would give me a strong HELL YEAH, but despite having about 100 games on my list, nothing really resonated with me until I heard about Cosmic Dark :D
It sounds a bit Mothership / Death In Space-ish but much more in line with my play culture.
Is the version on Patreon a solid beta? Or is it practically the final version?
By the way, I'm curious what you think about Trophy Dark, which is heavily inspired by Cthulhu Dark? When I heard about Darkenwood, I immediately thought of Trophy :P
I'm releasing it gradually on Patreon, so there are scenarios there together (in a fairly final state) together with a beta version of the GM instructions.
I deeply enjoyed participating in the Raspy Raven playtest back in June, and tomorrow, I’m running Extraction for the first time, followed by a second running later in the week. I’m really looking forward to the book.
I ran it for two groups this week, the first a group of 3 and the second a group of 2. It went well both times, and the players all said they enjoyed the game and would like to play more.
I read the new scenario writing guidance a few hours after I ran the second game, and while I'll comment on it more soon, I found it quite useful as a guide to GMing Cosmic Dark as well as thinking about authoring scenarios.
Nothing felt rough, but that may have been the result of experiencing the scenario as a player during a playtest with you. I do have a couple of minor but spoiler-ish comments, so I'll post them over on Patreon under the Extraction post.
